Étude de l’OMS

En 2018 l’OMS publiait un rapport indiquant que la méthode sympto-thermique avait un taux de grossesse non planifiées (GNP) de 1% de grossesses en théorie et 2% de grossesses en pratique ( contre 7% pour la pilule).

Les méthodes d’observation du cycle ont prouvé leur grande efficacité théorique.

Leur efficacité pratique dépend de plusieurs facteurs :

  • la motivation du couple et le sérieux de son apprentissage
  • la rigueur de l’observation, de la notation et de l’interprétation des bio-marqueurs
  • puis le respect des règles de la méthode M
  • le désir d’enfant verbalisé dans le couple
  • le vécu de la continence périodique.
